Welcome to the Gallery Hostel!
With high standards of comfort and carefully decorated interior design, you will find a familiar and cosy atmosphere, complemented by a multilingual and professional team which make you feel like home.
The Gallery Hostel, set in a newly renovated historical building, is situated in a privileged area of Oporto, which is known for its art galleries and modern shops. The hostel has its name for a reason; you are welcome to enjoy our in-house art gallery with exhibitions of local artists. In addition, in order to introduce you to the beauty of the city and the local culture, our rooms are named and designed after the most renowned artists and gardens of Oporto.
Our services and common areas represent the importance of making you feel like home. You can listen to music and drink one of our Portuguese wines in our Lounge Bar, watch a DVD in our Movie Theater or play a game. In our Library you can read a book or surf in the internet and have a chat or chill out in our interior gardens. You are welcome to prepare your meals or enjoy our freshly prepared dinners in our open kitchen and breakfast area.
The city has a lot to offer; during the day you can visit Oporto's historical monuments, museums and gardens, which are at a close walking distance to the Gallery Hostel. We offer a free walking-tour every morning in order to give you an overview of the city and help you to orient yourself. After a tasty traditional dinner at the hostel or at one of our nearby restaurants you can enjoy your night out in several bars and clubs.

Metro: From the Airport, take the metro and get off at the Trindade Station. Enter to Rua dos Heróis e Mártires d'Angola. Then turn right to Rua Dr Ricardo Jorge and go straight till Rua de Cedofeita. Arriving at the pedestrian Street, turn right and take the first left to Rua de Miguel Bombarda. (Total distance: 900 meters).
Train: From Campanhã station take the train to São Bento. Cross the street when you get out of the station and turn right in the direction of Aliados (City centre). Take a left at Rua Dr Artur de Magalhães and go straight till Carlos Alberto Square. Enter Rua de Cedofeita and take the second left to Rua de Miguel Bombarda. (Total distance: 800 meters).
Bus: From the airport, take the bus 601 towards Cordoaria (final station). Passing the university and Praca de Gomes Teixeira you will find Carlos Alberto Square. Go towards Rua de Cedofeita and take the second left to Rua de Miguel Bombarda. (Total distance: 400 meters).
