We're proud to announce the opening of Hostel Riva, an extension of the top-rated hostel in Croatia, and the most successful in Pula!
Located in the heart of Pula's centre and at the famous Pula waterfront (Riva), we are a few steps away from the historic Forum and Kandlerova Street, which boasts some of the most impressive Roman architecture in Croatia, as well as a variety of cafes, bars, and shops. Pula's breathtaking Amphitheatre ('Arena') is a mere five-minute walk from Riva Hostel, and all of Pula's main attractions are within proximate walking distance.
Located inside a quiet Austro-Hungarian courtyard building, our newly renovated space consists of four large and spacious sleeping rooms, a common area with TV, free internet computer station and Wi-Fi throughout the property.
Each room in our hostel has very tall ceilings, which makes sleeping with more people in the room quite comfortable! Each room has its own AC unit. Two of the rooms have their own newly renovated bathrooms with spacious shower stalls. Located inside a quiet courtyard, the commotion and traffic outside is not heard at all, even though our location is in the heart of the city centre.
There is a large kitchen available for use. You are welcome to help yourself to breakfast items in the morning (included in the price), as well as coffee and tea. We also have all kitchen appliances and utensils necessary for cooking and meals.
We are equipped with brand-new facilities, including air conditioning, security lockers, free laundry service, DVDs and many other state-of-the-art features that we think are imperative for a modern and convenient hostel experience.
We are also very close to the main bus and train stations, and the arriving terminal for all boats and ferries is less than a minute's walk to where we're located - quite useful if you'll be taking a ferry out of Pula to the southern Croatian coast early in the morning!
Building upon an already established and highly successful hostel business, our main mission is to make your holiday in Pula as comfortable, relaxing and fun as possible. Our staff is energetic and highly dedicated to the needs of each and every guest. It is our firm belief that going this extra mile is what makes a hostel experience above average, and takes at least some of the stress out of travelling and spending time in a foreign country! We want you to feel at home in our hostel.
Each member of our three-person staff has had extensive experience with travel in his/her life. We are all more than happy to share our experiences, recommend travel ideas, provide useful information, and help you clarify and plan the remainder of your travels. English, Spanish, and Croatian/Bosnian/Serbian are spoken here.

We're located at the left end of Pula's waterfront/harbor, street name is Riva and our house number is #2.
The hostel is across the street from the main Uljanik shipyard entrance.
From the airport:
If you are arriving to Pula via airplane, the most convenient way to reach us from the airport is by taxi.
We highly recommend this.
Taxi Cammeo is the cheapest (around 50kn for a whole car, not per person!), and you will be brought directly to our door.
There is a chance that city construction will prevent the cab driver from getting through to our doorstep.
In that case, you will have to walk to us from the nearest point reachable by taxi; we suggest you get dropped off in front of Arena Amphitheatre, then walk via Kandlerova or Riva street to our hostel, right next to Dolce Vita Restaurant. It's a mere 10-minute walk towards the shipyard/cranes and would do you good after a stuffy airplane ride.
Look for Cammeo Taxi only, as other companies also solicit customers but cost a lot more! Their office is located inside the terminal building, as soon as you clear the customs.
From the bus station:
If you are arriving by bus, you may walk, it is very simple and not far at all (about 1km). Exit the bus station on the left. Follow the road to the left, around the roundabout towards the waterfront. Stay on Riva st., pass the park and palm trees on your right, keep walking towards cranes/shipyard in the background. Pass the construction site (you can pass by the site by walking along the path at the edge of waterfront). We're on the left side of the street another 100m, address Riva 2, right next to Dolce Vita Restaurant.
From the ferry terminal:
We're located at the opposite side of the harbor and from where the ferry drops you off. You need to get out of the ferry terminal; walk right all the way along the waterfront. Pass the construction site (you can pass by the site by walking along the path at the edge of waterfront). Keep walking along the harbor another 500m, then cross the street so that you're walking on the left. We're on the left side of the street another 100m, address Riva 2, right next to Dolce Vita Restaurant.
From the train station:
If you are arriving by train, you may also walk, it is very simple and not far at all (about 1km as well). Walk out of the station and take a right down the street about 300m. You'll come to a major intersection where Pula Amphitheatre will be visible straight ahead. Make a right; after 50m you'll arrive at the waterfront harbour. Pass the construction site (you can pass by the site by walking along the path at the edge of waterfront). Keep walking along the harbor another 500m, then cross the street so that you are walking on the left. We are on the left side of the street another 100m, address Riva 2, right next to Dolce Vita Restaurant
By car:
There is an ongoing construction on the road leading up to our hostel; it's not possible to be park your car directly in front of the hostel. You will need to park at the parking lot below Arena Amphitheathre then walk along the Riva (waterfront) to our address at Riva 2, right next to Dolce Vita Restaurant.
There is a buzzer at the door with Hostel Riva displayed; please ring the buzzer and walk straight through the hallway and another set of doors into our backyard - entrance is on the left.
