From the train station to Volzhskaya:
If you arrive in Irkutsk by train the easiest way to reach us is by means of the local minibus or 'mashrutka' services. Exit the train station and you will see the bus stop just a short distance away on your right. You can take bus #16 or bus #116. Regardless of which option you choose, the stop is called "VOLZHSKAYA"(ÂÎËÆÑÊÀß), you can ask other passengers or the driver if you are unsure of when to get off. Typically the smaller vans go faster =) fare of 10-20 rubles + possible baggage fee if your luggage takes up too much space.
Another option if you aren't in a hurry and want to experience more of the city is the tram or 'tramvai'. You should see the tram stop directly in front of you a soon as you exit the train station, take Tram #1 until it reaches "VOLZHSKAYA"(ÂÎËÆÑÊÀß) - note the tram stop volzhskaya is slightly away from the bus stop - see map.
From the airport to Volzhskaya:
If you arrive in Irkutsk by plane you can also reach us by minibus. The stop is in front of the international terminal (if you're flight arrives from somewhere within Russia then you need to exit the airport and go a short distance to the right to find the bus stop). Take minibus number 45 and get off at the stop called "VOLZHSKAYA" (ÂÎËÆÑÊÀß), you can ask other passengers or the driver if you are unsure of when to get off. Typically the smaller vans go faster =) fare of 10-20 rubles + possible baggage fee if your luggage takes up too much space.
From Volzhskaya to Irkutsk City Lodge:
When you get off at Volzhskaya you mush head in the direction of the small square with a fountain and benches not too far away. While heading in this direction you will see the pharmacy Avitsenna where you must turn left. After turning left at the drugstore, you will see and metal fence on your left side, you need to pass through it and turn right. You will find yourself in an alley with light poles on either side, head down the alley and you are home =)
From the Airport / Train station to Irkutsk City Lodge by Taxi should cost you from around 200+ rubles depending on the time of day, traffic, driver, etc… Agree on a price before departing!
