Lehaye-ekhaya

Set in the peaceful leafy suburbs of South Johannesburg, this uniquely safe, friendly Backpackers, makes an ideal base for touring Southern Africa.

Lehaye-Ekhaya is the owners private home, with well kept lawn and shrubbery tropical fruit trees, giving shaded areas to sit out the heat of the day on comfortable garden seating while enjoying a BBQ or a dip in the pool.

We have four double rooms, one ensuite, one poolside room with WC. Ten camping pitches, swimming pool, bar TV lounge, outdoor washing area and campfire area with disco sound system.

Taxis to Swaziland, Lesotho, Botswana and Zimbabwe leave every day from the city centre, which is only 20 minutes drive away.

Taxi (Minibus) directions:

Starting from the centre of Johannesburg.

Stand 12 Union Square, Noord Street to Southgate via Rifle Range Road.

Taxi will stop on request at Lehaye-Ekhaya.

(this is just past Southgate Shopping Centre.)
