We are a recently opened guesthouse in the Hiroshima area.
We have dormitories, a cafe/bar (currently under construction), a lounge, full kitchen and a Japanese garden, parking for bicycles brought together in a refurbished space dating back to the Meiji area. Our friendly English-speaking staff is here to help introduce to Onomichi and the Hiroshima area.
In order to make your stay as cheap and as long as possible to enjoy Onomichi we offer a lounge, a fully-equipped kitchen, A/C, washing machine (200 yen per use) and drying pole, shared-showers with shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Free Wi-Fi, free computer use, safe-deposit box, hair dryer, free drinks (tea, coffee, etc.), rental cycles (1 day, 500 yen), rental yukata (500 yen), towels, washcloths, toothbrushes, razors, and earplugs (for a small fee).
Our 'Akubi Cafe' will be opening in December and will offer delicious breakfast for guests and drinks throughout the day.
Walking tours of our city, workshops of Japanese culture and special events are offered every day, so be sure to check out our homepage for more info!
We are proud to support cyclists and can help make reservations for the local Shimanami Kaido cycling route, as well as provide bike storage.
How to get to Onomichi Guesthouse Anago
Walking: From JR Onomichi Station's south exit cross Route 2 (the street in front of the station), and head east through the long hondori (covered shopping arcade) for 20 minutes.
By bus: From the bus terminal in front of JR Onomichi Station's south exit, hop on a bus from the number 5 platform heading east towards 'Nagae guchi' and get off at the 'Nagae guchi' stop. Enter the hondori (covered shopping arcade), turn right and walk for a few minutes. Anago is a yellow building on your left side.
By car: There is no parking at Anago no Nedoko. There is however plenty of paid parking that is close. The nearest are either 'Ey no mahchi kahn parking' or 'nakahama parking' and from there it's about a one minute walk to the guest house.
By taxi: From the taxi stand at the south exit of JR Onomichi station, 'shotengai no Onomichi roman kohee mahday' it's about 5 mins by cab. From there it's a 1- minute walk to the guest house up the shotengai in the direction of the station.
