Pictures just can't do this place justice. Opening in December 2012, the Pink is set to be the next big backpacker secret to hit Metro Manila. The house has a pool, panoramic terrace view of the entire Metro in every dorm room, weekly rooftop activities, and frequent pub crawls through all the nightlife districts.
Directions
Find the Pink at 2551 Bautista corner Don Pedro Street, Vito Cruz, Manila.
HOW TO GET HERE: Taxi fare starts at 200 PHP from any one of the three Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) terminals. Special, yellow Airport Taxis charge 75% over white metered taxis, which can be found by climbing upstairs to the departure wing of the terminal. Direct the driver towards Saint Scholastica's College in Malate District, near the intersection of Taft Avenue and Ocampo Street (also known as Vito Cruz). Your driver will take one of two possible routes depending on time, traffic and terminal: Roxas Boulevard in the west or Osmei a Highway in the east. Approaching Taft-Ocampo from Roxas Boulevard, guide the taxi past the Jollibee Restaurant under the LRT Vito Cruz Station and turn left on Arellano Avenue (at CSB Grill) before making a right on Don Pedro Street (after Central BBQ). Driving west towards Taft from on Osmei a, take a right on Bautista (by Becky's Kitchen). Ride should not exceed 250 pesos in heavy traffic.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Catch an airport shuttle found in the arrival wing to the LRT EDSA Metro Station (P20) and take the metro north to VITO CRUZ Station (P15). Walk 500m east along Ocampo Street, passing the Jollibee, McDonald's, and Saint Scholastica and De La Salle universities. Make a left three streets down on Arellano Avenue (at A4B Bar) and a right on Don Pedro (opposite Bulalohan Eatery). We are the 7-story mustard building on the corner of Bautista Street.
WHAT TO REMEMBER: As a traveler unfamiliar with Manila, keep your eyes peeled for street names and landmarks to guide your taxi driver. Insist on the meter and assert the confidence of a someone who has been here before. Remember, the Pink is an exclusively international traveler co-living space, not a public lodging. Foreign passports are required upon check-in and reservations.
