Directions
On foot The pedestrian route to Laivahostel Borea follows the river along the banks of the Aura. The distance from the Market Square to the hostel is about 2.5 kilometres. The route along the Aura is simple: walk along Laentinen Rantakatu until you arrive at the maritime museum Forum Marinum. Walk through the museum yard towards the old crane on the river bank, then turn to the right and follow the fenced passage to the Bore ship. By car There is free parking space for both cars and buses for the hostel guests in the yard of the maritime museum Forum Marinum. When driving from the centre of Turku, follow the signs for the harbor and for the maritime museum Forum Marinum which is located on the river side of Linnankatu, shortly before Turku Castle. The entrance to the yard is at the castle end of the area. You'll see the museum ship Bore anchored nearest to the harbor on the river bank.
By public transport Turku Public Transport's bus number 1 runs between the airport and the harbor. The bus station for long distance buses is also located along the route. The bus no 1 stops at the Market Square on Eerikinkatu and continues towards the harbor. The Form Marinum bus stop is located shortly before the museum, after the Sahkolaitos stop and before the Turku Castle stop. Walk through the museum yard towards the old crane on the river bank, then turn to the right and follow the fenced passage to the Bore ship.
