Inn to Inn Hiking to San Francisco and Monterey

This is a self-guided inn to inn coastal walking holiday for fit and active adults and children. Daily mileage varies depending upon options but expect relatively easy walking from 6-12 miles each day with little elevation gain. Excellent meals along the trail and comfortable and unique coastal lodging each night. No backpacking or heavy packs are necessary.

You start your day with breakfast at your inn or a local restaurant, your custom lunch is delivered to your inn before you depart for the day, taking only water, lunch and a light pack. Your luggage is transported to the next inn. You'll walk following custom maps and directions at your own pace without a guide or group arriving at your next coastal lodge or inn before the end of the day. You choose your pace and optional activities along the way.

This trip is great for couples, families, reunions, and solo getaways. Walkers in their 80's have successfully completed this journey, as well as teenagers. You must love to walk and explore nature to receive the most benefit from this holiday. It also helps if you enjoy eating at new restaurants, checking out local foods and wines, and meeting friendly locals along the route.

You'll be staying in unique and comfortable lodging along the trail. Inns and lodges all provide private rooms with baths and many amenities. Most breakfasts and lunches are included and a wide range of restaurants near your lodging are available within easy walking distance.
