Mountain Cho Oyu is 8201m. Peak was climbed by Austrian team 1954 A. D. It is about 30 KM west of Everest at the head of the Gokyo valley. The first ascent was made via north-west ridge using route through Tibet from the Nagpa – La – not strictly a legal route.
