Poon Hill - Highlights

One of the famous trekking route in Nepal for both teahouse and organized. Ghorepani trek offers a wonderful opportunity to witness the beauty of the Annapurna region with a shorter trek. This place is rich of hidden treasure of Nepalese culture and tradition. During the trek the trail passes through world's famous 'the Gorkha warrior' clan the Gurung and Magar's charming village, dense rhododendron (Nepalese national flower), Oak forest full of birds, green hills and patchwork valleys. Just about every angle is a tantalizing glimpse of Mt. Fishtail (6,993m,) Annapurna (8,091m) and Dhaulagiri (8,167) range on the initial part of the tour is breathtaking. On an excursion to Pun Hill one can observe the entire mountain ranges; covering red and pink rays of the Sun in full bloom at the Sunset and Sunrise. Day 01: KATHMANDU - POKHARA (910m/2986ft.)
After Breakfast 6 hrs Drive to Pokhara about 200km by Tourist Bus through good scenery of River and countryside. Check in to the Hotel. Free afternoon on your own. Take a walk around Lakeside or you can do boating at fewa lake. O/n Hotel.
(You can fly to Pokhara takes 25 minutes Flight)
Day 02: POKHARA - TIRKHE DHUNGA (1495m)
After Breakfast an hour drive to Nayapul (50km). Then start your Trek about 20 minutes to Birethati, a prosperous town beside the Modi River. Again heading your Trek to hille, then Trek to a large Magar Village called Ulleri. After Ulleri the trail crosses a stream and then ascends steeps. This day you will Trek about 3-4hrs. O/n at Guest House or tent.
Day 03: TIRKHE DHUNGA - GHOREPANI (2850m)
After Breakfast start your Trek crosses a stream (Bhurungdi Khola) on a suspension bridge, Above the village where the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields, through rhododendron and oak forests then reach to Nangethanti. You can have lunch or short rest. Again Trek to Ghorepani through the forest. This day you will trek about 5-6 hrs. O/n at guest House or Tent.
Day 04: GHOREPANI - Poon Hill (3195m) - TADAPANI (2520m)
Wake up early morning then at 4am an hour hike to Poonhill (3195m) with the help of your stick & flash light. Where you can enjoy with Panoramic Mountain Views & beautiful Sunrise View from your Eye lavel. Then after an hour Trek down to Ghorepani and have Breakfast then start your 6 hrs Trek to Tadapani. Tadapani means, ?Far water?. Water supply in this village from long distance.The trail climbs along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali. We descend to reach Banthanti, before winding our way to Tadapani. On/t hotel or Tent.
Day 05: TADAPANI - GHANDRUK (1950m)
Trek start to Ghandruk after the Breakfast. After 4hrs descent Trek to Big Gurung Village called Ghandruk. it is the most interesting tribal Gurung village in Nepal, which provides Gorkha soldiers. It has excellent close -up views of Annapurna South, Machhapurchhe and Himachuli. There is an ACAP office that provides information about its different activities. O/n at guest House or Tent.
Day 06: GHANDRUK - POKHARA (1910m)
Today is the last day of this Trek. After Breakfast Trek about 4-5hrs then take Bus back to Pokhara.
