Each of the boats of the Maine Windjammer Association is individually owned and operated and half of them are registered as National Historic Landmarks. No matter which boat you sail on you are guaranteed a one-of-a-kind vacation; one that you will never forget. Mother nature dictates the course of your sailing vacation. These are traditional wind-driven vessels. The captains will take Mother Nature's measure and then plot a course that will be safe and scenic. Some of the vessels may venture north toward Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, others may trek southward toward Boothbay Harbor. Captains always try to make time for passengers to get off the boat and explore - whether it's a cozy coastal town or an uninhabited island.
