Cruise On Shitalakhma River
Drive to Demra Ghat in the morning from your nominated pick up point at 09:00 a.m. It will take about 50 minutes to arrive there. Immediately our cruising boat S.B. Kheyo will start its cruise towards Murapara zamindar's palace, which was built at 1889. You might also visit a jute factory here. The cruise will resume upstream on Shitalakhma River. We will visit a village before one more stop for swimming. A traditional Bangladeshi/Chinese lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
On our way back, we will stop at Noapora village to see the traditional Jamdanee Sharee weaving. Leave the boat at 4 p.m. and drive back to Dhaka in the evening.

Cruise On Meghna River & visit Sonargaon
You board on our wooden cruising boat S.B. Kheya to join this adventure. Explore the remote island villages that are only accessible by boat. Know their lifestyle. Stop at any island in the middle of river, swim and have more fun. Enjoy the Hilsha fishing and the activities of villagers. If you wish, you can also visit a weaving village. On way back, visit Sonargaon, which was the first capital of Bengal (13th to 17th century). A traditional Bangladeshi or Chinese food will be served at lunch on boat.
Depart Dhaka at 9 am from your nominated pick up point. You will board to the boat at Bouddhar Bazaar, which is 27 km from Dhaka and takes about an hour to reach. Leave the boat at around 4 pm. We will drop you at your residence at 05.30 in the evening.
Cruise On Ganges
Leave Dhaka at 9 am for Maowa Ghat to cruise on the most Holy River of Indian sub-continent. The journey will take a bit more than an hour. After boarding the boat, cruise down the Ganges and enjoy the view of the River. It is fantastic, especially during the early hours. Small little fishing boats and the row of green trees along the bank disappeared into misty distance as they followed the curve of the River. A full morning exploring the riverside lifestyle, visiting a village, meeting the villagers. Before having a traditional Bangladeshi lunch on the boat, free for swimming and exploring the surrounding area. Leave the boat at 4 pm and arrive here at Dhaka in the evening.

Day 01
Depart from Dhaka in the morning by our reserved car/van. We will reach the village within 1-2 hours. During the day, you will be involved in the daily activities of the villagers like agriculture work in the field, tending cattle, fishing or weaving. After having lunch with your home stay family we shall visits the Zamindar Palace and some Hindu temples (built more than hundred years ago), those are still in good condition. This palace is near by Shitalakhma River, so you may go for a short cruise with the help of country boat. In the evening the local singers will perform a significant folk musical program. Your accommodation will be very simple but we shall make sure the necessities.
Day 02
In the early morning you will visit the village market, which is very different from the experience in your life. After breakfast you must enjoy the rural education system in a local school. Your accompanied guide will help you to communicate with the students.
After lunch, drive back to Dhaka.

Pottery village tour with Bangladesh Expeditions (#4/11) Excursion Trip to a Pottery Village
Leave Dhaka in the morning for Dhamrai is about 40 km drive to the north. Once this place was very famous for brass artisans. Now few of them are still surviving. You will see one of the places where they are at work. You can visit the Rath here in Dhamrai, which is very similar to the Roman Chariot. During the Bengali month of Ashar a big festival Rath Jatra takes place here. After that you will go to other part of this village to see the potters, busy to make beautiful terracotta, which take the place in the house of local elite. These people also make the statue of many Gods of Hindu community at their big festival Durga Puja. After lunch at a local restaurant, leave the bus at Nayarhat to take a boat to go to famous pottery village in Kakran. The cruise will be for 40 - 50 minutes to reach there. There is widespread use of pot & utensils make from the clay, most of the people of this village are still potters and trying to hold this profession as their living. After spending some time here, take the waiting boat to get your car. Visit National Martyr's Monument at Savar, which is 50m high and beautifully kept structure, was built as a memorial for the millions who died in the liberation war of 1971. Drive back to Dhaka.

Moinamoti-Archeologycal tour with Bangladesh Expeditions (#5/11) Archeological Excursion to Moinamoti
Depart from Dhaka in the early morning for Moinamoti which is about 85 km southeast of Dhaka and well connected by road the journey will take two and half hours time. Upon arrival you will visit War cemetery where you can see the graveyard of the soldiers died in the Myanmar front during the World War-2. Drive to the Archeological camp where the Salbon Vihar and the Museum are located. Excavated Buddhist remains of 8th/9th century are dotted all the way along the north - south running Lalmai - Moinamoti - hill range.
From here the following adjacent sites you may also visit: Ananda Vihar, Charpatra Mura, Itakhola Mura, Rupban Mura, Kutila Mura and Triratna Stupa. Among these, the Ananda Vihara, the Charpatra Mura and the Kutila Mura are situated within the Moinamoti Cantonment are therefore, prior permission of the cantonment authorities is necessary for the visit. After lunch at Miami restaurant we will drive back to Dhaka. On the way back, we will stop at Sonargaon, the oldest city, which was the capital of Bengal from 13th - 17th century for sight seeing. If our time permits, we may visit the folklore museum and the Panam village. Arrival Dhaka in the evening.

Tea Garden Tour with Bangladesh Expeditions (#8/11) Day 01 : We shall welcome & receive you at Zia international airport as per your flight schedule. Transfer you to your hotel. After a short refreshment, we shall take you to do a short city tour! Dinner at some reputed Bengali restaurant and over night at hotel.

Day 03: Leave Dhaka early morning by reserved car/coach for Srimongal. The distance is around 191 km and the journey takes five hrs of time. We shall arrange your Bangladesh Tea Boar�¢ï¿½ï¿½s guest house (ex- DFID guest house). After taking lunch at DFID or a local restaurant, the accompanying guide will take you out to see the tea plantations and rubber gardens.
Day 04: During the morning hours of the second day you will visit the Lawacharra Forest. With a bit of luck you should be able to see some species of primates and a few rare birds. You will also visit the Khashia and Tipra tribal villages, which are close. After lunch at your guesthouse you will visit a village of the Monipuri, Khashia & Tipura tribal people and a tea worker�¢ï¿½ï¿½s village. Back to the guesthouse in the evening for dinner and overnight stay. (it is possible to visit Madhabkunda waterfall which 80 km far from Srimongal)

North Bengal tour with Bangladesh Expeditions (#11/11) Ancient Bengal
Ancient North Bengal- Mosques, temples & Stupas
Bangladesh has reason to be proud of its rich ancient heritage. At once this was a rich and developed region. Many traveler express their impressions glorifying this places.
At present there are several Sites in Bangladesh where you can still see some of those relics. These are the Paharpur, Gaud & Puthia in Rajshahi., Kantajeeâi i s in Dinajpur, Mahasthan In Bogra, Satgambuj in Khulna and Moinamoti in Komilla are most prominent.
Paharpur- in noagaon district about 60 km. away from Bogra Town where the remains of the most important and the largest known monastery, south of the Himalayas has been excavated. This 8th century A.D. archaeological find covers an area of 27 acres of land. The entire establishment, occupying a quadrangular court, measuring more than 900 ft. and from 12 ft to 15 ft in height with elaborate gateway complex on the north, there are 45 cells on the north and 44 in each of other three sides with a total number of 177 rooms. The architecture of the pyramidal cruciform temple is profoundly influenced by those of south-east Asia, especially Myanmar and Java. declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO
The excavated findings have also been preserved at the Varendra Research Museum at Rajshahi.
Mahasthangarh- The ruins of ancient Pundranagar are now buried deep in Mahasthan is located at a distance of 18 km north of Bogra town, Mahasthanragh is the oldest archaeological site and earliest City of Bangladesh on the western bank of river Karatoa.
This 3rd century B. C. archaeological site is still held to be of great sanctity by the Hindus. Every year (mid-April) and once in every 12 years (December) thousands of Hindu devotees join the bathing ceremony on the bank of river Karatoa. visit to the Mahasthangarh site museum will open up for one a wide variety of antiquities, ranging from terracotta objects to gold ornaments and coins recovered from the site.
Gaud is the border place with India. There are many Ancient Mosque. Most of them were built during the rule of the Muslim Sultanate of the Ilyas Shahi period . many of those Mosque bear rich example of Architechure. Among them:
Chota Sona Mosque, Darasbari Mosque, Kushumba , Rajbibi Mosque are famous.
Puthia is 23 km east of Rajshahi City. There is a number of important Hindu structures in Bangladesh among them- Shiva temple and Govinda temple is famous. There is also attractive King palace( Rajbari )
Kantajeeâi i s Temple is in the Dinajpur District near Shibgong. It was built by Maharaja Pran Nath in 1752. (Terracotta) Kantajeeâi i s Temple is considered to be the Most spectacular Monument of Bangladesh.
