Jewels of Portugal - Reviews

Our first trip to Portugal was a tour of the "Jewels of Portugal" with PortugalBike in September, 2012. We wanted to learn about the country and its history, and experience traveling around the country on a bicycle. We cannot say enough good things about PortugalBike. Our guides, Jose and Pedro were fantastic! They taught us about Portugal's long history, as well as giving us lessons on the language, industries, and culture. We especially enjoyed learning about the cork trees, touring historical places, talking to the locals, and experiencing the culture. We explored palaces. We rode along the beaches, through forests and vineyards, and over countless hills. We stayed in castles and monasteries, and discovered Obidos, the most preserved medieval town in Portugal. We loved it all!
We've ridden many bike tours over the past 20 years, and this was one of the best!
