We are located in downtown Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood, minutes from North Michigan Avenue, Water Tower Place, the lakefront, and Oak Street Beach. This is the premier residential area on the city's North Side and within a short walk of many high-end stores, restaurants, night spots, and neighborhood conveniences. The building is steps from Lake Shore Drive and two blocks north of Oak Street.
Accommodations
We offer comfortably furnished studio and one-bedroom apartments in an 1890s greystone rowhouse. As our renovation progresses we are keeping the best of the old and updating kitchens and baths for modern-day living. We now have three apartments available for b&b guests. The apartments are available for short-term stays (two-night minimum may apply) or as furnished corporate units (by the week or month).
Rooms/Suites
Historical amenities will vary, but apartments feature some combination of wood-paneled rooms, fireplaces, in-laid wood floors, high ceilings, and decorative moldings. We have chosen an English Arts & Crafts motif for the decor, popular in the late-Victorian period from which the house dates. All kitchens are totally new and self-contained with refrigerator, gas stove, sink, microwave oven, and complete set of dishes, glasses, pans, and utensils. Bathrooms have been updated with new fixtures and tile.
Amenities
Your stay will include a self-serve continental breakfast placed in your apartment the night before. Coffee, tea, juice and milk are stocked in your refrigerator. Rooms include a cordless phone with an answering machine, color TV, radio and alarm clock.
Services Offered
Linens are changed every third or fourth day for our long-term guests.
Policies & Restrictions
The units are not appropriate for infants and small children. We are a non-smoking facility.
Rates & Availability
Rates are $145 to $225 per night, plus hotel tax of 14.9%
Other Information
Check in is by appointment generally between 3:00 and 6:00 P.M. Payment for your stay is due at check in. Check out is generally at 11:00 A.M. the day after your last night's stay.
Directions
Cedar Street is between Lake Shore Drive and State Street, two blocks north of Oak Street and two blocks south of Division Street.

$25 off standard rates in winter months (January to March).
