Typical Daykeyboard_double_arrow_up
Day 1 - Lake Superior: Hiking from our lodge on the Superior shore we explore the Brule River and Magney State Park to find waterfalls, canyons, and inspiring views of the big lake. We stay overnight in the charming old elegance of the Naniboujou Lodge. Built as a private club in the 1920's, Babe Ruth and Jack Dempsey were charter members.

Days 2 & 3 - Bearskin Lake: Silently our canoes glide along the foot of tall cliffs as loons sing a haunting serenade. Savor a panoramic picnic at the top of Honeymoon Bluff. With its hand-carved furniture and lake-side cabins, the Hungry Jack Lodge is our home for the next two nights. Paddling and hiking reward us with the legendary vista of Rose Lake Overlook, where crystal lakes stretch into Canada, reflecting the scenic drama of shear rock bluffs.

Days 4 & 5 - Routes of the Voyageurs: Paddling the border lakes we explore the path of the early furtraders and relish a gourmet picnic at the foot of thundering Little Rock Falls. Mounting up, we ride horseback to see the High Cliffs and enjoy a steak dinner campfire cookout. Luxury cabins with fireplaces and private saunas await us at the Gunflint Lodge. Therapeutic massages are an optional treat. A morning hike leads to impressive Magnetic Rock, a geologic curiosity where compasses go crazy and watches come to a stop. A local historian entertains us on the Granite River as we search for moose and otter. Tonight the lodge's legendary chef prepares a gourmet farewell dinner.

Day 6 - Devil Track River: Try sea kayaking on the Lake Superior shore, hike the rugged beautiful canyon of the Devil Track River or shop the lake-front stores of Grand Marais as our unforgettable adventure draws to an end.
