Riverview Apartment offers comfortable self-catering accommodation for two (double or twin) in the heart of the beautiful Wye Valley. Ideal base for walking, cycling and canoeing holidays. Flexible booking arrangements and friendly welcome.
Ross is an excellent base for a Wye Valley break. The lively town has a range of shops and some very good restaurants, including French, Italian, Hungarian, Indian, Nepalese and Chinese. Ross and its surroundings have plenty to offer the visitor. Hereford, Gloucester and Monmouth are each within easy travelling distance, as is the Forest of Dean. The Wye Valley walk passes through the town and within 400 yards of Edde Cross House. To the north the walk takes you through the undulating countryside of South Herefordshire, with some excellent views. To the south, the path passes through some of the most dramatic scenery in southern England, on its way through gorges to Symonds Yat, Monmouth and Tintern. Cycle and canoe hire are available locally.
Riverview Apartment is part of Edde Cross House, a Grade II listed Georgian town house in the heart of the Wye Valley market town, Ross on Wye. The flat has its own entrance from the street and is completely self-contained. The accommodation is for two adults (or one plus child over eight) and is non-smoking. It comprises a kitchen/dining room (fully equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge and utensils); a bedsitting room (with TV/video, convertible double bed/settee and single chair bed); shower/WC room; and utility with second WC, automatic washing machine and tumble drier.
The apartment is let on a flexible basis byt the night, although there is a minimum charge of £50 per booking. This enables you to enjoy a long weekend, a mid week break, seven nights, or an extended week, making the most of both weekends at either end.
We welcome a diverse range of visitors, including those with disabilities. Please let us know if you have particular needs and we will do all we can to meet them. Unfortunately this first floor accommodation is not suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We recommend that guests with cars use the pay and display car park two doors down the street. This is free between 6pm and 8am, or you can buy hourly tickets or a weekly season for £5. Good bus and National Express connections mean a car-free break is possible. We particularly welcome walkers and cyclists. Sorry, the apartment is not suitable for dogs
