Hillhead self-catering flats are located less than two miles from the city centre, and are close to Aberdeen's beach, and Seaton Park.
The flats comprise seven single bedrooms grouped around a kitchen/dining area. These flats are self-contained and have their own shower and WC facilities. Each bedroom has a fitted carpet, wardrobe, desk, chair, bed and wash-hand basin. You will be allocated a bedroom within a flat sharing with other visitors.
The flats are available from mid June to late August. These flats are used for student accommodation during term time.
We Provide Sheets, Pillows, Bed Coverings and Towels. Kitchen Facilities include cooker with oven, grill, fridge/freezer, microwave, crockery and cutlery. Electricity is included in the charge.
We also offer a Television Room, Licensed Shop, Badminton, Table Tennis, Tennis Courts, Games Hall.
During the Summer months the Bar and Takeaway Outlet are subject to varied opening hours.
Sports Facilities are available at the Aberdeen Sports Village approx 15 mins walk from Hillhead and include a multi gym and squash courts. The swimming pool and tennis courts are located on the main University Campus.
FROM THE AIRPORT
Proceed out of the car park onto Argyll Road. At traffic lights turn left onto Dyce Drive. At roundabout turn left onto the A96 Inverurie Road. This is a very long road broken only by a series of roundabouts. This road then becomes Auchmill Road and then Great Northern Road. At St. Machar Drive roundabout turn left onto the Drive (A978) and after the roundabout proceed to the second roundabout. Turn left here onto King Street. After the BP Filling Station turn left into Don Street and proceed to the top of the road.
The entrance to Hillhead Halls is at the top of the hill on the left hand side opposite the tennis courts. Please drive into the site towards the Central Building where you should check-in. The Porters will then advise where you should park.
FROM THE TRAIN STATION
The ferry and bus terminals are in this area. Turn right on to Guild Street. You require to be in the left hand lane. At the first traffic lights turn left. At the top of the hill turn right at the traffic lights, you are now on Union Street. Proceed along Union Street to the second set of traffic lights/pedestrian crossings (Town House on your left hand side). Union Street joins King Street here as the road veers left and continue along this road, going straight ahead at the roundabout. After the BP Filling Station turn left into Don Street and proceed to the top of the road.
The entrance to Hillhead Halls is at the top of the hill on the left hand side opposite the tennis courts. Please drive into the site towards the Central Building where you should check-in. The Porters will then advise where you should park.
BY BUS
Take the No. 20 bus (operated by Firstbus) from Union Street to Hillhead Halls. The No. 9U bus (operated by Stagecoach) can also be taken from Union Street to Hillhead Halls.
