Learn Italian in Apulia by the sea

The school organizes: italian language basic course (12hours/week), italian intensive course (20hours/week), italian language advanced course (30hours/week), italian literature course (15hours/week), italian cooking course (15hours/week) or private one-on-one Italian lessons, CELI (Certificates in Italian language) test preparation program, study tours (combined study & touring, walking tour, mountaibike tour &C.), study & sea (with sailing excursions, windsurfing &C.).
All the courses of Italian language are for: beginner, intermediate or mastery.

The Italian Language Course fee includes:
- books and teaching materials

The first day of lesson initial entry tests.
Teaching periods of 50 minutes each, from Monday to Friday.
The private school for foreign students organizes recreational activities on request: tennis, soccer, potholing and trekking excursion, 9-hole or 18-hole golfing, kitkarting, windsurfing, gokarting, horse-riding or sailing excursions, wine-tasting course, guided tours in the Salento and Apulia.

Accommodation
The course frequenters will be settled in flats shared with other students, in double or triple room, the bathroom in comnon (the towels aren't included), the Kitchen – room in comnon with the tools required to prepare and to take the meals (plates, pats, glasses, etc but the foodstuffs aren't included); the flats are in Otranto and they are 10-15 minutes from the italian language school and the sea on foot.

The italian language school is open all year. Our teachers are specialist's in teaching Italian to foreigners and attend a course at the Perugia University for foreign students. The school overlooks the sea and it is not more than 5 minutes' walk from the town center. The atmosphere at the italian language school is intimate and relaxed. Classes range from 10 to a maximum of 12 foreign students. Our aim is to create a lively and stimulating relationship between teachers and students. We encourage the foreign students to talk and interact both inside the classroom and outside. Our method of teaching is modern and flexible, and both during school and during free time, spoken italian language is emphasized from the first day on. At all levels, only Italian language will be spoken. During free time we promote integration between students and Italian people, organizing culture activities every nights where a number of trained Italian friends are invited, that will help you to socialize and to verify your knowledge of the Italian language.

The City of Otranto
Also known as The Gateway to the East, Otranto is a tourist town in Apulia, in the Province of Lecce, situated on the easternmost point of the Salento Peninsula, the ‘heel' of Italy, which connects the Adriatic and Ionian Seas in the heart of the Mediterranean.

Otranto is a town of art and the neighbouring town is Lecce known as the Florence of the south'.

Otranto was a Greek colony which, in 281 BC, became subject to Roman rule; the Roman troops left from its port to venture East as described by numerous Latin writers. When the Roman Empire was divided, Otranto became a base for the officials of Constantinople, and the town became ever more important, to the point where, in the 4th century, Japigia, Messapia, Salento, and Calabria were collectively given the name Terra d'Otranto (Land of Otranto).

In 2002, 2003 and in 2004, Otranto was awarded the first prize among the most beautiful and clean beaches of Italy, thanks to the recognition of the 5 SAILS of Legambiente.
