Backstreet Hostel is ideally located in the most central and touristed area of Guilin, within walking distance to all major attractions and interesting spots of the city. Just directly beside us is the famous Li River and Pedestrian Street, two of the major highlights of Guilin. We are also extremely easy to find by taxi as we are directly beside the Sheraton Hotel which all taxi drivers know how to get to which is a relief to many who have just come off a long bus or train ride.

Immediately upon entering, you will be welcomed by our very enthusiastic team who will assist you with everything you need from check-in to check-out. They will help you with travel information, tours, booking tickets, and everything in between. Also on the main floor is our very relaxed lounge where you can indulge in a movie, play boardgames, engage in conversation with other travellers, or just surf the internet on your laptop or our computers.

How to find us

From Guilin Long Distance Bus Station:
Walk out from the bus station then cross the street you will find No.1 sightseeing bus (bus runs between 06:00-18:00) stop to your left about 100m, get off after 3 stops (Lijiang theatre stop, 2Yuan) our hostel is located inside the vally opposite to the stop about 30m. Taxi cost 10 yuan.

From Train Station
Walk out from the train station then across the street you will find No.1sightseeing bus (bus runs between 06:00-18:00) stop, get off after 4 stops (Lijiang theatre stop, 2Yuan) our hostel is located inside the vally opposite to the stop about 30m. Taxi cost 12 yuan.

From North Guilin Train Station
Walk out from the train station you will soon find the No.1 bus (bus runs between 07:00-19:00) stop, get off after 12 stops ( Shizi Jie Stop 1Yuan, it takes about half hour), then cross the central square (you will see some pyramid like architectures in plaza), you will find our hostel inside the vally near the Sheraton Hotel after 10 minutes walking. Taxi cost 25 Yuan, 20 minutes.

From Airport
Take the shuttle from airport to CAAC station (last stop), then change a taxi to our hostel, it cost 12 yuan, 15 minutes. if you need airport pick up service , please send us e-mail or call us.
