Taormina is wonderful in summer and, because of its mild weather, it is wonderful in winter too. Furthermore, behind the town there is Mt. Etna that, in winter, has a mantle of snow, perfect for those who love to ski or to slide slowly down its slope. Taormina is the starting point for excursions to the whole of Sicily, where you can admire the Sicilian Baroque buildings and the classical and architectural beauty of places like Noto, Modica, Ragusa, Syracuse, Agrigento, Palermo, Acireale, and Catania, where there is nightlife all the year round.

FROM TRAIN STATION:
You need to catch the blue color bus "Etna Trasporti" or Interbus"(it is the same company) or a small orange minibus to Taormina. You will arrive at Taormina Bus Station. Then go left in direction of the centre for 500 m. Then you see the arch of Porta Messina in front of you; turn to the right walking up a small hill for about 100 meters. Now you are in Via Circonvallazione: you should see on our right another arch, go on the opposite side in the direction of "Imperiale Hotel" (that is next door to our hostel). We are some meters ahead. We have a little orange mark on our door (we are in Via Circonvallazione n° 13).
FROM BUS STATION:
Go left in direction of the centre for 500 m. Then you see the arch of Porta Messina in front of you and turn to the right walking up a small hill for 100 meters about. Now you have on your right another arch, go on the opposite side in the direction of Imperiale Hotel (that is next door to our hostel). We are some meters ahead from this hotel. We have a little orange mark on our door (we are in via Circonvallazione n° 13).
BY AIRPLANE:
From Catania Fontanarossa Airport, 64 km away from Taormina, catch the bus "Interbus" "EtnaTrasporti" until Taormina bus station (in Via Pirandello). Then get off and go left in direction of the centre for 500m. Then you see the arch of Porta Messina in front of you and turn to the right walking up a small hill for about 100 meters. Now you have on your right another arch, go on the opposite side in the direction of Imperiale Hotel(that is next door to our hostel).We are some meters ahead from this hotel. We have a little orange mark on our door (we are in Via Circonvallazione n° 13).
BYCAR:
MotorwayA18 exit "Taormina Centro". Continue towards of one the two car-parks just outside the city gates. You can choose among Park "Lumbi" or Park "Porta Catania". If you park in Lumbi, you can reach the city center by a free range shuttle, that will leave you next to Porta Messina arch. Then go up to the hill on the right, so continue on the left in Via Circonvallazione 2 minutes walking. Weare further the big Hotel Imperiale. We have a small orange mark. If you park in "Porta Catania", you will be close to the post officesquare and Porta Catania arch. Going through the arch, you will be inCorso Umberto. Walk through it for about 500 meters, passing the central panoramic square. Then,on your left you will note a bank called "Banco di Sicilia". You just need to go upstairs until Via Circonvallazione, we are between he gasoline station 'Q8'and Imperiale Hotel.
