The Lansdowne Hotel is a low-cost, budget hotel providing good accommodation at a reasonable price.
We have a 24 hour reception where you will be greeted by our friendly staff. Our rooms are all private and en-suite with a freeview TV. We also offer free Wi-Fi, which is accessible in our rooms and reception area. We offer continental or Full English breakfast at a small surcharge. In addition we have a relaxing and cosy bar, which is open late to hotel guests. If you are arriving by car, we offer a free secure car park which operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
We are three miles south of Manchester City Centre in the vibrant student area of Fallowfield. Many great restaurants and pubs are within easy walking distance and we are next to the Red Rum club, which is great for a night out. The hospitals and universities are only a short bus ride away, and we are located on a main bus route with buses stopping as frequently as every five minutes. Our location is ideal if you are working in Manchester during the week, visiting the Christie or Manchester University, or needing a place to stay after a weekend out in the city!
As we have several different room types available and offer special discounts during different periods of the year, we ask that you check the room description and terms and conditions for the type of room you would like before booking.
We accept first-party bookings in which the name of the guest and the name on the card used to secure the booking are the same. In compliance with our security procedures, we would ask that you present this card and a photo ID upon your arrival at the hotel. For third-party bookings, the hotel will contact you after you have made your booking.
Once you have completed your booking, you we be contacted by the hotel directly to re-confirm the last 3 digits on the reverse of your credit/debit card. If this is not provided, your booking can be cancelled and any deposit paid may not be refunded.

From Airport:
The 43 bus runs directly from the airport up Wilmslow Road and there is a stop directly over the road from our hotel. They run 24hrs and you can travel for i 2.
By Bus:
Located on the main Wilmslow Road bus route, you can get the 41, 42. 43, 142 or 143 bus service. The buses run as frequently as every five minutes and the bus stop in Fallowfield is located right over the road from our hotel.
By Car:
From the South
From the M6, join the M56 at J20 and follow to the end.
You will now be on the A5103.
Continue straight on at the crossroads.
Continue through two sets of traffic lights.
Continue through two sets of pedestrian crossing traffic lights.
You will be passing playing fields on your left.
At the next lights, turn right, sign posted Withington.
Continue along this road (Mauldeth Road West), going through one set of traffic lights.
At the second set of traffic lights, turn left. This is now Wilmslow Road.
The Lansdowne Hotel is a few yards along on the left hand side, across from the Total petrol station.
From the North
From the M62 or M61 join the M60 towards Manchester Airport.
Leave at J5 and keep left and immediately exit left to Northenden.
Turn left at the traffic lights, with the Britannia Airport hotel on your left.
Continue along this road, through nine sets of traffic lights (some just pedestrian crossing lights).
By taxi:
A black cab from the city centre will cost around i 10 and from the airport around i 9. Private firms vary in rate.
