Area Festivals - One of this area's greatest assets are the tight knit communities that make up the local towns. Many of these towns celebrate their heritage and love of the area with annual festivals. These festivals are a great way to see the area from 'the locals' perspective. You'll sample music, food, drama, art, competitive rivalries and good old fashioned fun!

Two Bedroom Cabins

Rustic Luxury in our legacy log cabins i - When we envisioned building River Dance Lodge, we wanted to position our adventure resort as one of the finest in the West and certainly the best in our region. We also wanted a place that would complement the environment and be flourishing 100 years from now. For this reason we chose to build log cabins, the quintessential architecture of the American West. We built hand-crafted cabins from high-quality, dead-standing lodgepole pines with impressive diameters. These are trees that died from natural causes but were still standing when cut. This means they were already dry and ready for use. We also chose to have hand-peeled logs as opposed to machine milled logs. If you look closely you'll note the uneven surfaces and quality of the corner joints. Note also there is no chinking as we used a special technique that allows the logs to settle as they shrink. Our cabins, built in 2005, shrunk an average of 6" in height, and are now well-settled in. To complement the logs, our front porches are constructed from locally harvested and milled western red cedar and our hot tubs are set into the decks to make getting in and out of them easier.

Convenience Kitchen - Each cabin has a small fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee pot. As well, there is a grill outside (note: there is not a stove or oven in the cabins). Our all-inclusive packages include all meals, so although the kitchen is rarely used with all-inclusive guests, other guests who are simply renting a cabin will find it easy to prepare and serve meals with the equipment and dishes we provide.

Quality Amenities - Inside and outside you'll find the highest quality construction and amenities. Our bathrooms have slate floors, tiled bath enclosures and quality fixtures. The floors downstairs are built of douglas fir from Oregon, providing a warm, cozy feeling. There is a small gas fireplace in the comfortable living/dining/sitting area. We have chosen not to install air-conditioning and on hot summer days it's important to keep the front door and windows closed to keep the cabins at a comfortable temperature. Finally, each cabin is handsomely decorated and fully equipped with everything you need for an outstanding and relaxing vacation.

These cabins are perfect for four people, but will sleep six if you use the futon in the living room area. There is a queen bedroom downstairs and an upstairs loft. The loft has two twin beds that can be put together to form a king bed. There is a full bathroom on the main floor, a small gas fireplace in the living area, and a private deck with hot tub.

Glamping - Luxury Camping

Luxury camping, glamorous camping or "glamping" is all the rage these days and glampers are growing in numbers. You like the idea of being in the great outdoors, but also want certain creature comforts. Our luxury glamping wall tents in Idaho are the perfect solution. Located along a rushing creek, our glamping tents bring back memories of yesteryear. Each is furnished with a king-sized bed (that can be separated into two twins if preferred), chairs, a small table and wood stove. The deck extends behind the tent to create a back porch area that has an antique claw foot bathtub heated by a propane burner. There is also a small sink and counter area outside. Nearby there are BBQ grills in a shared area with picnic tables and a fire ring for roasting marshmallows under the stars. We have a portable toilet a short distance from the glamping area as well as a shared bathhouse with toilet and shower about 100 yards away.

Our glamping tents, the best glamping in the West, are only $109-$124 per night and demand is very high for our second glamping season. Call us today and make a deposit to reserve your luxury camping trip with us! Here is what your luxury tent has:
•Comfortable Pillow-Top Beds (King or Two Twins)
•Wood Floors
•Luxury Wall-to-Wall Canvas Tent
•Small Wood Stove
•Chairs and Table
•Back Porch
•Privacy Iron-Claw Bathtub
•Sink and Counter Area

Glamping as a term likely originated in England, however the tradition of luxury tent camping was most likely born in Africa where safari outfitters have long provided such accommodations. We're pleased to bring the tradition to Idaho! While you stay with us, enjoy delicious meals at our lodge restaurant, or cook your own food on our BBQ grills. If you want to introduce your hesitant partner, or children to camping in a hassle-free and comfortable way, our luxury camp tents are the perfect way to do it.
