Come on, paddle your own boat on a Snake River Adventure. Magnificent scenery, wildlife, and geological wonders abound. We offer a multitude of half and 1-day trips out of the Twin Falls area for adventure, education and fun!
Salmon River Trips
The Salmon River, also known as the “River of No Return” is the longest free-flowing river in the country. Our journey is highlighted by fun Class III and Class IV rapids and a beautiful riverside camp at the bottom of a breathtaking 5,000-ft. canyon.

Idaho Guide Service has been leading whitewater raft trips on the Salmon River for over forty years. We can offer a variety of options to fit you vacation schedule. Our one day trips take place in Riggins, Idaho. This run offers class III/IV rapids that will keep you entertained all day. Double your fun and add beach camping to your trip with our overnight excursion. This canyon trip offers class III/IV rapids with stunning white beaches perfect for a game of beach bocce. If you are looking for a full rafting/camping adventure, the Lower Salmon Gorge four and five day trips will fulfill your summer vacation rafting dreams. This exciting class III/IV whitewater section offers plenty of time to fish, hike, swim, or just relax. The trip ends in Hells Canyon on the Snake River. Raft out to Heller Bar or jet boat to Pittsburg Landing.

A reservation with Idaho Guide Service is a promise. We promise to hold your spot on your chosen trip. This takes much advance planning and there is little margin for the losses involved in late cancellations of reservations. All reservations are held for 1 week by phone and are confirmed upon receipt of 50% of trip cost. The balance is due 2 weeks before trip date. Discounts available for early booking and payments.

Refunds minus a 10% booking fee will be made on any day trip deposit if canceled by phone and it must be received 2 weeks before launch date. Extended trips require 30 days notice to cancel for refund minus 10% booking fee.

Reservations canceled less than 2 weeks before departure are not subject to refund. We run all trips rain or shine. Idaho Guide Service also reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any trip with full refund option available to participants.

All boating participants are required to sign a liability release before trip departure.

We are a licensed, bonded and insured outfitting company with over 30 years experience in providing fun and exciting adventures for folks of all ages and abilities. We have a terrific crew of guys and gals who help make all of our trips a great success. They themselves are licensed professional guides with their own unique specialties and personalities.

We wish to share with you the unique beauty, challenge, and thrill of the Snake and Salmon Rivers. Idaho Guide Service, Inc. is an family owned business with over 40 years experience outfitting in Idaho. We specialize in small groups and custom trips with personalized service. This small group philosophy is also compatible with our use and care of the river areas we work within. All our expeditions practice ecologically sound day use and camping techniques. Our appreciation for this land is matched only by the care we show for it.


All of our equipment we use is first class. Our rafts are designed so that we can offer you a choice of oar powered or paddle your own.
