As we specialize in small guided 7 day tours, groups of only up to 8, it allows us to not only schedule visits to the famous cities and sites of Tuscany but also arrange for trips to castles, villages, wineries, farms and other places of interest off the beaten path that most "big" tour companies don't include on their itineraries. Single travellers especially enjoy the camaraderie that develops in the small tours as they are not lost in a crowd of unfamiliar tourists and don't have to be overly concerned about safety.
After breakfast, we head to the historic town of Montepulciano which attracts tourists from all over the world. This hilltop city offers a great number of historical sites and monuments of architectural significance. Montepulciano also commands beautiful views of the surrounding hills and valleys. After lunch , we visit nearby Pienza for the afternoon. Pienza, designed by Pope Pius II, was among the first planned urban towns in Europe and has been used as a model for towns all over Europe. Pienza itself, is a small town nestled in the heart of the unexploited and unspoiled Val d'Orcia Valley, Tuscany. Pienza has been included on the list of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.
