Your journey begins with stays in Venice, Florence and Cinque Terre - some of Italy's more popular areas - followed by five days at a historic, countryside farmhouse where you'll discover authentic Italy in its medieval hill towns, tucked away sites and hidden treasures.

Early morning walk to Rialto Bridge and Market (optional), vaporetto to the islands of Murano and Burano, night-time gondola ride

MORNING: This morning after an early breakfast we'll walk to Venice's beautiful Rialto Bridge for a stunning view of the Grand Canal and a stroll through the historic Rialto Market (optional).

LATE MORNING: We're off to catch our vaporetto for a ride through the Venice Lagoon to Murano and Burano. First top is Murano (world famous for its blown glass works!) where you can peek in countless glass shops - or even visit the Murano Glass Museum. Then it's on to charming Burano, a centuries-old fishing village - known for its handmade lace - where you'll have an opportunity to explore the colorful alleyways and grab lunch on your own at an inviting cafè.

LUNCH: On your own Burano

AFTERNOON: We make our way back to Venice by vaporetto where you'll have time on your own to relax, shop or explore.

EVENING: Dinner at our friends' classic Venetian restaurant

LATE EVENING: Night-time gondola ride

We stay at boutique-style 3-4 star hotels located in historic city-centers, and a historic, 18th century countryside farmhouse.

Because we live in Italy and are continually exploring and traveling ourselves, we create and host unique, boutique, small group tours that allow you to experience and enjoy bella Italia to the fullest. Our signature, interest-based tour approach has been developed over years of on-the-tour-testing. We don't pack too much into our days, we partner and collaborate exclusively with local Italians and we allow daily opportunities for both choice and independence - from museum visits and shopping to photo ops and walking.

And we steer towards the road less traveled. While others head to over-visited areas, we visit authentic, culturally rich hill towns and historic sites - from Tuscany's postcard-perfect Val d'Orcia and vineyard-circled hill towns to Umbria's ancient Etruscan sites and fabulously medieval villages. Our specialty and passion is sharing with our guests Italy's hidden treasures and best-kept-secrets.
