We provide community tours, eco-tourism, photography, dog team rides, wildlife watching, igloo (snow house) building demonstrations. Let us help you experience the beautiful Arctic, the land and people.
Visit our beautiful town of Arviat ("group of baby whales") and watch carvers, seamstresses at work. Watch a traditional drum dance or an Inuk (Eskimo) building an igloo (snow house) in the winter month. Go on a dog team ride where the land is vast and you can see for miles around. Watch the caribou herd migrate to their calving grounds. You will see many different birds and animals wandering freely.
July weather is fairly warm, and can go up to 23 celcius. January is coldest and temperature is around minus 35-40 celcius. May is spring and not cold, about minus 5-10 celcius Sun hardly disappears in June, longest day of the year is 22nd.
