The Boat Company has two vessels, the M/V LISERON and the M/V MIST COVE. The LISERON is a WWII wooden hulled Naval Minesweeper. She was built in Tacoma Washington by the US Navy in 1952, and leased to the French Navy in a war time leasing program the Department of Defense ran. The Boat Company purchased her from the French Navy in the early 90's, had her towed to Tarpon Springs Florida, where she was rebuilt from the main deck up, into her current form. Several years later, after attempting to find another vessel like the LISERON, the company had a steel hulled replica of her built to a slightly larger scale to accommodate an addition four passengers.

The LISERON carries 20 guests with a crew of 10, while the MIST COVE carries 24 guests with a crew of 12. We work hard to keep the guest to crew ratio at 2 to 1 so that we can accommodate all of our guests requests. All of the staterooms are identical, with the exception of a single stateroom on each vessel that contains twin beds. Otherwise, you will find each cabin contains a queen sized bottom bunk and full size top bunk (often used for gear storage by guests), and all cabins have identical full sized bathrooms.

Typical Daykeyboard_double_arrow_up
We cruise the inside passage of Southeast Alaska. While we use Juneau and Sitka as our two ports of call, those are the only two days we are actually in port. Every trip is custom designed for the guests on board that week. The only set days are the day we pick our guests up and the day we drop them off and put them on a plane home.

A typical day consists of an amazing breakfast spread every morning, followed by morning activities. This can include beach combing, heading out to fish for Salmon or Halibut, kayaking or relaxing in the salon with a good book. After morning activities, we usually have everybody back on board for lunch so that we can pull anchor and cruise for no more than four hours to our next anchorage of the trip. Once there, again guests are offered up any and all activities they are interested in. Cocktails are an hour before dinner with a gourmet meal to follow. After dinner sunset kayaking is sometimes offered depending on where we are anchored for the evening. This is also the time when our naturalists will sometimes hold sessions in the salon to educate our guests on some of the natural wonders of the area's they are visiting.

Sleeping and mealskeyboard_double_arrow_up
We cater to any traveler interested in seeing Southeast Alaska from a small vessel. Families, couples, singles, kids.....all are welcome. Frequently we will have whole boat charters with three and sometimes four generations of a family on the trip together.
